3 week Summer
If it were possible to teach your child math with out him or her being present then we wouldn't hesitate but, research and common sense entails that a student will learn best if they are in the presence of their teacher. It is too difficult to catch up a student and focus on the new material with other students so we ask that you plan accordingly and make sure your student attends all classes on time.
Students are required to attend WIT Academy for 3 hours per day for 5 days a week. To ensure your student benefits from our program we ask that your student is absent no more than 2 days during a session. If your student is absent more than 2 days they will fall too far behind and will lose their enrollment in the session. No refunds will be issued.
COMPREHENSIVE MATH SUPPORT
WIT Academy is accepting applications for its 2017-2018 Math Support Program for 8th and 9th graders
During our 3 week summer program we will:
Review and re-emphasize important elementary school skills.
Introduce 9th grade, and high school math concepts in a low-stress environment.
Last year only 16% of 11th graders in Vallejo met the standard for college readiness in Math. In 8th grade, math becomes more abstract and it becomes even more to difficult understand new concepts if students lack a fundamental knowledge of earlier concepts. We help children make that transition.
Students who successfully complete Phase program 1will be eligible for WIT Academy's after-school math support during the 2016-2017 school year. This includes homework help and enrichment.
